Dear Parents,
Stay-Tuned:
Ask your child what he or she is studying, and look in the homework folder every night. The homework folder is where
you will find the newsletters and notes that are sent home, as well as any homework that needs to be completed. This
website will help you keep up with important happenings in our classrooms. We will also send home progress reports or
make phone calls if we feel that your child is not progressing as expected.

Questions: If you have any concerns or are wondering why something is happening, please feel free to call or
email us at any time. We welcome all concerns, ideas, and feedback that affect your child or our classrooms. If
something is not working, we are more than willing to talk. We welcome all feedback.
Homework: You should expect that your child would have some type of homework most everyday. You will
always find the homework assignments written in their assignment notebook. It will go home everyday. We encourage you
to set up with your child a scheduled time for homework each day. Students should be able to do most assignments
independently, but do help if it is completely necessary. If you notice that your child is not able to do an assignment
on his or her own, please call us on the assignment. We will contact you if your child is falling behind or turning
in poor work.
Snack: The third and fourth grade will continue to have morning
snack throughout the school year. It would be appreciated if each child could bring a box of crackers or something small
throughout the year (granola bars, trail mix, animal crackers, graham crackers etc.-NO CANDY OR BEVERAGES) for your child
to share with their classmates. No pop will be allowed for birthdays in our school wide effort to keep kids eating healthy.
Summer birthdays can be celebrated whenever you would like. Your child is encouraged to bring a water bottle to class.
Please no twist tops!
Book orders: A book order will come home monthly
with your child. There is no obligation to purchase books, but if you do, please make the check payable to the book
company. If you ever have an order that you want us to hold, let us know and we will call you when it arrives.
Arrival Time: We also would like to request that town students arrive
at school no earlier than 8:05.
